Ozonoterapia y Fibromialgia
Fibromialgia Unfortunately fibromyalgia is a disease that is becoming more prevalent in our society and reaching more Western women every day. Its course is chronic and difficult to approach, specialists are powerless to combat them, but a lot can be done to improve the living condition of the patient.

Its roots are still unknown. Research assessed the psychosocial variables as possible causes of pain and chronic fatigue. In general the results show that there is no evidence of psychopathological changes in people who suffer from the problem, suggesting that the implication of these factors may be in ways of adapting to it (Shepherd, Lopez-Roig, Rodriguez and Juan Marin. 1995).

It has been found in fibromyalgic people evidence of a decline in levels of serotonine. It has also been seen that the engine plate (which is where the nerve connects to the muscle to give orders) presented an alteration of its oxygenation patterns. Hence, the ozone therapy is very useful in these cases.

In Spain, about 800,000 people suffer from this disease of which 80% and 90% are women between 30 and 50 years old.

Fibromialgia Puntos Diana Fibromyalgia responds to a kind of rheumatism not articulate with chronic pain in the muscles, ligaments and tendons. It is characterized by generalized muscle-skeletal pain, pain at certain points (target points). Also present are marked fatigue, morning stiffness, sleep disturbance, tingling in the extremities, headaches, depression and anxiety. Patients are locked in a vicious circle from which one can not get out without help, because the disease is compounded by a tremendous depression.

Its diagnosis is not difficult if it is known, and if it is exclusively clinic. Unfortunately, the reality of these patients is very tough, most of them are deferred to different specialists and subjected to unnecessary complementary explorations, all of these will result to be normal and do not explain to the patient what the problems are. Result, the sick person is forced to hear phrases like "Madam you have nothing, just nerves and anxiety" immediately creating an utter incomprehension of their situation, often ending in the psychiatrist.

Ozonetherapy constitutes an important and valuable alternative to the treatment of this condition.

Ozone
:

Improves cell oxygenation. Erythrocytes disaggregated soften and are able to absorb and transfer O2, among other factors, by increased contact surface free deformability. The arterial PO2 increases and decreases the venous PO2 improving cell oxygenation. There is a noticeable increase in the 2.3 DPG, which facilitates the transfer of oxygen trapped in the oxyhemoglobin in red blood cells.

Increases the efficiency of the antioxidant enzyme system, which controls the excess of free radicals in the body. It reduces fatigue.

Alleviates pain.

Increases production of serotonine therefore improves the state of mind and overall well being of the patient.

Empowers the immune system.

Treatment

Gentle therapeutic massage, applying mud, acupuncture, laser sweeps of CO2 and magnetotherapy. It will be recommended to patients to practice swimming in warm pools. This will improve dramatically the paravertebral muscles, reducing pain and contracture. The quality of living may be relieved so that the patient can make a more normal life, thus preventing disability.
